Grief and Bereavement Support in Richmond

You Don't Have to Walk This Path Alone

Dear Friend,

If you’ve found your way here, it may be because life feels heavier right now—perhaps filled with memories, changes, or quiet moments that stir both love and sadness. You may be preparing for a loss that hasn’t yet come, or trying to make sense of the world after someone dear to you is gone.

Grief in your golden years carries a unique weight. It can bring reflections on the life you’ve lived, the people you’ve loved, and the time that feels to be moving differently now. It can also awaken a deep longing—for connection, for understanding, for peace.

Please know that you don’t have to carry this alone. Together, we can explore your grief with compassion, at your pace, in a space where your story and your emotions are honored. My role is to walk beside you as you find ways to live meaningfully with loss—to hold both sorrow and hope in the same heart.

There is no timeline for healing. There is only your path, and the gentle work of finding comfort and purpose again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are counseling sessions?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, which provides consistent support as you navigate grief and life changes. Depending on your needs and goals, we can adjust the schedule—some clients move to biweekly sessions once they feel more settled, while others prefer more frequent check-ins during particularly challenging times.

The pace is always guided by what feels most helpful and sustainable for you.

Do you offer virtual counseling sessions?

Yes, at this time I only offer virtual counseling sessions to accommodate your schedule and comfort level. Virtual sessions are conducted via a secure online platform.

What can I expect in my first counseling session?

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’re carrying the weight of grief. Your first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what feels most important. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and a little lighter knowing you don’t have to walk this path alone.
